So unreal.
I passed FAR...my first section of the CPA exam!!!!! You can't even imagine how excited I am unless you've experienced it yourself. It is an incredible feeling. Such a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and there is a light at the end of the tunnel (yeah, I know, terribly corny).
I have much more motivation to study and I'm so super excited.
And because I barely believe it yet myself, here is proof:
I checked the NASBA website seriously at least 15X today to make sure it was for real. I'm so thrilled. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
Are you preparing to take the CPA Exam or in the process of taking it? Gain some insight - and amusement - from Priscilla Jenkins, a New Jersey Society of CPAs student member who is currently working for Merrill Lynch, as she studies for and takes the CPA Exam.
Congrats! That is so awesome!

Hey there,
I need an advice, perhaps a confidence booster. I passed FAR last Aug (after 4 attemps within a year, and a 74 before finally passing). However, I just got my AUD score (66) that I took in Feb 08 after comming so close in Nov with a 74. I have until Jan09 to pass the remaining parts. I believe I don't do so well with standardized tests. I have tendency to talk myself out of the correct answer. In addition, understanding accounting is not the issue. I have 5 years of experience in accounting and have done well for myself. I guess I need advice on how to carefully orchestrate a passing strategy before I run out of time.
Any advice???

Hi -
Congratulations!!
Can you please tell me roughly how many hours you are putting in each week? I am working for a private company where only one person has their license, and she received it years ago.
I enjoy reading this blog. I have taken BEC and REG both twice. I received 73's on my first round and 74's on my second round. I am wondering if I just really need to rev up the hours I am putting in.
Thanks!

Congratulations on passing FAR. I know that feeling :) I just eeked out with a 75 on that one and it was quite the weight off my shoulders. I am taking AUD again this Saturday after getting a 69 last time and am scheduled to take Business again in May. I have until November of this year to pass these two and i'm nervous because with the time it takes to grade and the months they dont test it will be close! Anywhoo, great advice and for those that do not test well but understand the material, getting a feel for the test (for me at least) is a big step to passing it. After the first couple of times I almost knew what to expect in terms of time management and how the questions are structured. Good luck everyone!
