Crunch Time

Hi All,

I hope all is well.

Its two weeks until my Regulation exam, and now its time to really buckle down and focus.  I have taken off next week to study and really focus on passing my exam.  Further, my Becker course expires, so I have decided to use the Wiley Examination questions and books for the final two parts.  While Becker's lectures have helped me better understand the topics, I have used the Wiley book as a portable version of Becker's questions.

On a side note, I am back on a client assignment in New York.  While I'm learning a lot, I have also found some time to study while traveling. Although this was a problem before, I'm studying for a little bit of my travel time.  Any time put in is better than no time.

I hope to update you soon on my status.

The Road to the CPA is getting longer !!!

Hello everyone,

Its me again, I am back, and sorry for the break in posting, I was very busy with my exam prep for Regulation. I actually moved my exam date to the 6th of July to get more time to study.

I have been doing a lot of past questions, and simulations, I am giving it my all. I did not pass my Audit exam, so that is 2 parts lost, which is making the road longer for me.

You all are with me on this journey, and when the passing scores start coming in, we all would rejoice together.

I am really looking forward to reading your comments and ideas on this beast called the CPA exam.

I've Got to Stop Procrastinating...

Hello All,

Great News!!!!

I've just passed a major deadline for work that needed to done.  I now have time to study, and pass the final two parts.  But alas, as the title implies, I'm spending my free time relaxing instead of studying for the CPA.

As I've mentioned in the past, creating a study schedule and being able to stick to it is the biggest stress reducer during the exam.  As such, I currently have taken a week off before my Regulation exam in order to save as a backup in case I procrastinate (which appears to look like a good strategy).

Tomorrow's my birthday, so it looks like my procrastination will continue at least 1 more day.  Fortuneately, I will spend this weekend doing multiple choice Regulation questions.

Long time.....

Hello Everyone,

It me again....I have been very busy studing for my Regulation exam, I've got to get some good and positive feedback soon. Audit should be released this week....I am hopeful, but after FARE, I have been very careful in speculating.

Regulation is really wide, and I have been trying my best to get in as much as possible, I am scheduled to take the exam on the 2nd of July. If all goes well this week on my Audit exam, I would re-take FARE in the last window of the year.

I would love to hear from the blog readers out there, please feel free to share your thoughts on the exam too.

I would be posting again this week after my exam score comes out, and hopefully this time I can yell "hurray"

Delays...

Hi All,

Since my last post, I've got both good news and bad news.  First the good news.  I've scheduled my exams for Audit and Regulation the first week of July.  I've also cleared some time to study before the test.  Scheduling the test has always been the hardest part, but not that I have finished that, I can focus on studying.

Now for the bad news (as the title implies.)  As we approach a deadline, work has taken precendence over studying.  No big deal, I can still study at night after work and work on some questions.  The bigger setback, is that I've gotten a cold.  I'm going to have to find some time to study while fighting the cold.  O well...  No time to make excuses.  Any study time will be productive.  My schedule allows for some down time, so I'll be able to make it up later.
