…using the words of Andrea Bocelli in a duet with Sarah Brightman.
I hope this last blog doesn’t come out arrogant. It was my pleasure blogging with you.
In exactly one year less five days (Jan. 23rd 2012 to Jan. 28th 2013), I completed and passed all four parts. On top of that, just a few days the before last result was coming out I received an offer I couldn’t refuse: I will be starting as a Junior Accountant at SMF in Clifton, October 28th.
I CAN’T WAIT. I AM SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!
I had a plan – to pass a test each window – and actually, I almost did.
Suddenly, I didn’t follow my plan. Originally, it was too weak of a plan. Thus, in time I accelerated exponentially, especially after a small setback with the first attempt on FAR, receiving 74. I used everything, every study aid, every tip, every technological device, every flash card, I could use. Anytime, anywhere.
Perhaps for the lacking of 100% confidence on the language (I was born in Italy)…
Perhaps for the lacking of the young mind typical of a 20 year old student …
Perhaps my stubbornness on pursuing this career…
Perhaps… the goal of being on the other side and saying with my fellow CPAs: Wow, we did it.
At the end, I DID IT! It feels so good to have put it behind, even though it is just the beginning.
Thank you everyone. Thank you for every bit of your advice. Thank you for your blogs, even the rants helped me to push further.
Do not give up. You too can do it. And one day – finally – add the ‘CPA’ after your name.
Ciao
Claudio Bonesini
Good luck! Stay in touch!
