Hello Everyone,
It’s been 5 months post CPA exam, the “high” is over, and now I am happier and more confident with my work without the worry of ever taking the exams again. For those in this stage of the journey, I would like to hear you thoughts on the license process. For me I did not have the 150 credits during initial evaluation, so I had to apply to NASBA to evaluate the remaining 15 credits for me to reach the target 150.
This process took a while because the school did not send the transcripts on time, and NASBA took some time in getting the review completed. I finally received my eligibility letter in mid-October from the state board.
I got busy with work at this time, and did not follow up on my statement of experience with my office till the first week in November; the process takes different stages of approval, and finally the state board has received my paper work last week. I called them today, and they told me they are waiting on my back ground check to come back.
This process takes some time, and my advice is that you make sure your credits are evaluated prior to passing your exams if you don’t have 150 credits, and have to take additional classes to get to 150.
I would keep you all posted, I have been reading all the posting, and just want to wish you all the best.
Happy Holidays,
